Distribution power system remains one of the cornerstones of the entire society. Regulator of the electricity market provides and monitors the quality of power supply system. The most important requirement is the continuity of supply of electricity, which is regulated by the regulator of the electricity market.
Extreme weather conditions, as they were this year, in January and February, pose high risks and significant impact on the continuity of supply of electrical energy.
This paper describes the basic concept of risk management in relation to extreme weather conditions.
