APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICAL PROGRAMMING FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES

Low efficiency, negative impacts on the environment and non-profitable operations are the main shortcomings of out-dated industrial power-plants. Such processes can be improved through reconstructive techniques and mathematical algorithms created as tools for systematic approaches during engineering decision-making. The study focuses on the development of a mathematical algorithm for a combined approach to the reconstruction of non-profitable industrial power-plants. The main goals of the set out mathematical algorithm are: i.) to maintain the existing process units and chemical plants to a greater extent, ii.) to enable the potential for finding new process alternatives and technological solutions, iii.) to provide a streamlined operation for all subsystems and total systems, iv.) to promote environmental and social responsibilities, and v.) to apply the concept of a reconstructive method for non-profitable chemical plants.

Low efficiency, negative impacts on the environment and non-profitable operation is the main shortcomings of outdated energy-chemical plants. In order to ensure flexible production and optimum operation, it is not enough just to look for savings in utility costs (UC), but it also makes sense to adapt processes. The reconstruction direction would be effective with the sustainable development and interesting market chemical products. Promising alternative fuel is also dimethyl-ether (DME). The examined study of this paper focuses on the development of the reconstruction technique for update irrational process systems or complete plants. Reconstruction method can be implemented in the case study of the existing MeOH plant. This is unprofitable and consequently not operating. The conceptual model developed in the direction of new-product production, is a good tool for reconstruction of energy-chemical processes. The objectives of the set method are: i.) Maintain the existing process units and chemical processes to a greater extent, ii.) Enable the potential for finding new process alternatives and technology solutions, iii.) Provide a streamlined operation of all subsystems and systems, and iv.) Promote environmental and social acceptability. In the paper they were validated lower operating costs one-step, compared with the two-step synthesis of DME from NG.

MATHEMATICAL MODELING AND PROGRAMING OF HYDRO SYSTEM

The purpose of this article was to develop a generic model based on mixed-integer, nonlinear programming (MINLP) for system optimisation regarding the possible construction of a hydropower plant. The system is based on the model of an arbitrary branched water network; with a varying number of volume flows, ideal slope inclination of the analysed landscape and variable water-head at the flow intersections. Using this model we wanted to predict the optimal installation location of water capture within a hydropower plant, that would gives the maximum economic profit from produced and sold electricity using installed water-flow to the turbine. We wanted to present the results of basic physical and economic variables to assess the use of water potential and to provide suggestions on the selection of the most technologically appropriate water turbine driver for electricity generation. Modelling and optimisation of the set problem were implemented using advanced GAMS computer software.

The survey is based on the examination of the possible use of water power by building microturbines for electricity generation purposes. Water is one of the renewable sources, wich can it be potential (water drop and flow) for convertion in "green energy".
